I don’t see a COM port listed for Sparki

Try these 3 steps in this order.  If the problem is solved after trying a step, then you don't need to do the rest.

1. Make sure the USB cable is plugged in firmly. 
2. Try doing a manual upload. This will help in case a previously uploaded program is crashing Sparki:

3. Re-install SparkiDuino, and reboot your computer with Sparki plugged into the USB port.
